Does air shield protect against magic bows?
Does anyone know if air shield will protect a unit against:

1. things like flaming arrows from bless or spell?
2. projectile fired from a magic bow?

Air shield projects from "projectiles" this includes all forms of throwables and arrows, but also some magical spells like blade wind, iron darts, rain of stones, etc.

Magical bows are also countered by air shield. However, I am not sure if thunder bow is affected or not.

While I can't answer this question definitively, I think the Thunder Bow uses the normal ranged projectile system (and then produces a Lightning Bolt where the projectile lands), only because I'm using a few Thunder Bows right now and there's a clearly visible projectile that moves from the shooter to the target area. So I, too, am not completely sure if Thunder Bow is affected by Air Shield, but I believe it is. And Flaming Arrows adds fire damage to projectiles, so Air Shield should work against it and against other enchanted projectiles, which I think includes blessings like Flaming Weapons. Hopefully, if I'm mistaken about some of this, someone can correct me!

Awesome, thanks for the answers. This is similar to my own understanding of Air Shield.

The reason I'm asking is because when I modded in a bow with #magic as one of its properties for my archers, I noticed that it was going through air shields much more than when it did not have that property.

Tested this by setting Air Shield property on some troops to 100, and then have my archers shoot them. The bow with #magic seems to go through the air shield where as when I took the #magic property out, no one was hurt by arrows.

Not sure if anyone else noticed this or if they can confirm the behavior.

Total shot in the dark: I understand that, in cases of shield damage and destruction, there's a roll to determine how bad it is, and magical shields get a substantial bonus to this roll. Maybe there's a similar mechanism at work here, in which magical projectiles still make a check against some Air Shield value, but with a bonus?

The magic tag on projectiles makes them more likely to not hit the shield, but does not make them ignore the air shield effect.

I would expect the Thunder Bow projectiles to ignore air shield because it's armor-negating.

I am pretty sure that the thunder bow ignores air shield

pretty sure airshield stops 4/5 of any projectile including the thunder bow.
