I don't understand, daddy.

It says +2 levels.

Does that mean I can forge an item that required Air Magic 4 while with a guy that has Air Magic 2? Because that does not seem to be the case.

Does it mean that I can forge "very powerful" magic items when only having researched contruction 4? Because that does not seem to be the case either.

It means that items cost two gems less. There are items which make you be able to forge as if you had higher paths of magic, but this is not one of them.

^This, it's a 2 gem discount on any item. Very good on the cheaper items.

Most factions will want to forge at least 1 item every turn starting quite early in the game, and in the late game will want to be forging several items a turn. A Dwarven Hammer is thus likely to be used each and every turn once it has been made. In essence, it costs 1 mage turn and 15 Earth Gems, and is a magic site that makes 2 gems per turn. If you think the game is going to go at least 1 more year, it's probably a good thing to forge.

Means gem discounts on items. Excellent item to get. Gems are one of the only resources that are hard to acquire so saving on them through various means gives you more options.

Still worth crafting a few of them for dedicated forgers.
