Defeating an Awake Telkhine
So I have been playing as EA Fomoria and attacked a Therodos that was in the middle of attacking an Atlantis. I brought down his fort under construction, and since he was in the middle of attacking Atlantis I was able to quickly capture most of his territory. By the time he brought his army back from sieging Atlantis I had a decent force of Fomorian kings and Nemedian warriors.

Then his awake Telkhine came back and proved consistently indestructible. His crowning achievement was killing 20 nemedians and routing 3 Fomorian kings singlehandedly, but also would just ensure that I would take nasty losses regardless of victory through being unkillable in battle until his side hp routed. His awake Telkhine pretender had extremely vast paths, blacksteel gear, and chi shoes. His script was stoneskin, personal regen, ice shield, and personal quickness. This would leave him at really high fatigue and he would hit 100 fatigue really fast, but i could never kill him.

Now the war is winding down (Atlantis has water elementals and flame jellies, and those should serve quite well to obliterate anything Therodos can throw at him), but I still don't know how I could have brought down that Telkhine. The best idea I could find was spamming decay, but especially when he has other units the decay casters often go off script. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to deal with an awake Telkhine SC?

Frozen heart spam? Bit too early in the game for that, probably. What were your Kings doing? If you gave them spears of the morrigan or some other magical item, you might have been able to take advantage of his fatigued state to deliver some seriously hefty blows.

I'd be interested to know how your king's were geared. I'd expect one of them holding a greatsword of sharpness + burning pearl and casting quickness would make short work of it. In giant vs giant combat luck is a good buff too

Oh my goodness, now I feel especially dumb. He did have an eyeshield, which took out the eye of the spear of the morrigan guy I sent after him.

But what I should have done is sent 2 or 3 Fomorian Kings after him with ideally greatswords of sharpness to just hit him instead of trying to break him with spells.

As the owner of said telkhine, i might add, that I am pretty sure that he also did cast skeletal body, so all pierce attacks were less effektiv.
For the greatsword of sharpness you would also need earth acess, which fomoria does not have as far as I know, so unless you can trade for them or have a pretender that has it, I think your best bet would have been construction 2 and bane blades.
That said, there is still a risk with this strategy, if the therodos-player gets water random melias, because quickend melias with greatswords of sharpness can kill giants pretty easy.

For the frozen-heart spam: the telkine has frost resistance, not much but i think that would cancel this strategy.

My suggestion was very generic, but I'd normally use an idea like that as a starting point and work around the specific problems with the tools available. Greatsword of sharpness certainly isn't the only possible weapon of choice, but it's a good generic anti-thug weapon assuming you have an E Mage somewhere

Yeah, I think he did cast skeletal body. I am also hoping Atlantis isn't furious at me. I am just on a roll with this game...
