Throne of Night
When I got the Throne of Night, it did an event where it said after.. I think 8 months the world will be brought to darkness.

That turn, it was dark in combat.

The next turn, I got the event again.

In future, it was never dark again. Nothing happened after 8 months

Is it a bug?

I also notice sometimes other thrones do their event multiple times (such as throne of winter is making everything colder or something a few times)

It's not a bug - it's a feature.

Many of the thrones cause worldwide events when discovered. The more annoying ones spawn indy. attacks all over the globe and assassination attempts on commanders, while occasionally giving the throne possessor small armies.

The event text does make it sound like the darkness will last forever when it's really just a couple of turns, so it's strange in that sense.

oh ok, thanks for the replies

I had hoped it would work sort of like... every 8 months it will go dark for 8 months... then light for 8 months... idk

at least it would be a little more interesting

Go heavy Fire and Death, Evocation 8, Alteration 9, and alternate Utterdark and Second Sun?
