Mekone pronunciation
I imagine it should be something like May-ko-nay, rather than May-cone? Just curious because i keep catching myself reading it as May-cone or Mee-cone

Muh-Cone is how it sounds in my head.

I'm on a Mayk-One on my part (the first of the Mek !)

Meh-kone for me.
Stress on the penultimate syllable, like Μυκῆναι. Me-kõ-ne.

MEH-cone if I'm being serious, Mech One if I'm not.
Rather than an ambiguous, anglo-centric, childish phonetic system (yes, I really do hate it :P), I'll use an actually serious one, the International Phonetic Alphabet: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Phonetic_Alphabet

Thus, I'll say /mɛkɔnɛ/, as it ought to be for a greek word. pencils' suggestions sounds pretty good too, but since Μυκῆναι uses an etha, I think that ɛ is more appropriate than e.

Since we are on topic, I've always wondered how to correctly pronounce Rlyeh.
In my head I always call it Ryleh (rɛ-lay)

Me-ko-ne like pencils suggestion.
R'lyeh is a word designed by Lovecraft to be deliberately unpronuncable in order to emphasize its alien-ness. There really is no correct pronounciation available to sane humans :P.

This!

I personally pronounce it just like it's written, though. First an R sound, then an L sound, etc... That's not very complicated, really.

Reminds me of Blizzard and its dumb pronunciation of Y'shaarj. They pronounce it "Ya'Sharaj". I find that stupid. Y-sha-arj is simpler and far more alien.

REL-ee-ay
Is correct insane pronunciation
R'lyeh for me is said as if someone was saying "well yeah" followed by a silent "duh"

I've always pronounced it reh-lye-eh
mɛkɔnɛ in phonetic can be read in this web
