Help with early age Yomi

Anyone have tips for making a pretender for yomi? They don't seem to have many units to bless, and high unrest usually end ups with me not really wanting to build/caring about building resources, and just using my free oni. I've tried using lots of blessed shikiome (is that how they're spelled?), but i don't think i had good bless effects for them. Any help would be appreciated
