CD key

per the title it says i need a CD key for the 64 bit launcher but i have no idea what or where mine is

Inside the Dominions 5 folder in steamapps there should be a file called 'dom5key' - copy & paste it into the folder called 'win64'.

Sorry, just reinstalled steam on a new machine, I don't know I activated it before, but I see no such file in steamapps.
Im looking here:
D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dominions5
shouldnt there be a way to activate it directly through steam, where I bought it?

THis is bizarre, according to the help FAQ I should have received a cd key with the email confirmation of my purchase. That is not the case.

I cannot remember having entered it the first time, but I can see if it is still on my old machine. Crazy, the file is actually listed there, not in my new install! Huh? But now it's also not asking for it anymore!
