My paladin is a soul butcher...

So... it looks like my paladin is lopping off heads and sucking the souls out of people.
At least, he got a death gem... and the soul butcher heroid thingie.

Seems a bit of an odd path for a paladin to take, but I'm not complaining. The fear aura is nice.

I assuming that you're talking about the Standard of the Damned (Level 6 Death artifact)? Well, if you take exception to his life-stealing, why did you equip him with such an artifact? ;)

EDIT: Also, all a "paladin" is is a holy warrior. In a world where a nation might worship a sentient pile of bones as a god, it's not a stretch to say that THAT nation's paladin's might not be the nicest people.

Given the direction that the nation of Marignon goes in the Late Era, having your paladin be a "soul butcher" might be more thematic than you know... >:)

Yeah, but in his first battle? Fresh out of Paladin academy, all fired up with righteousness.
He gets onto the battlefield and kills ONE GUY, and all of a sudden its, "SOULS FOR THE BLOOD GODS!"
