Dominions 5

Dominions 5

A simple change.
I very much prefer the old font from dominions 4 and I would like to know how to change it since it's easier to read.

Also I miss the comfy soundrack from dom 4, if only I could add it to the game, I would rebuy dom 5. Is there a way to do these things?

dom 5's soundtrack is extremely good.

The text files can be changed easily in the directory.

You can probably change the music in the directory too, if not, just youtube dom4 music.

I don't really get how either of these things are make or break. The font is easy as too read anyway.

When I was playing Dom4, I'd mute the music, turn down the sound effects, and play some epic soundtrack or orchestral score in the background. You can do this with 5 if you like. Here's a link to the full Dom4 soundtrack on Youtube.

There's a mod changing text files.

Don't know how to add music.

The music in Dom4 is VOX encoding (I ripped them for my personal use, you can do it too).
In Dom5 they are just RAW formats, so quite easy for anyone to rip them.

Mute the music in game, and roll your own player with the musics. Problem solved.

Why did they get rid of the Santa Maria songs? I miss the pretty lady singing

I have asked this before. You can easily replace the game's fonts (it's even in the FAQ), but the problem is no one knows the font Dom4 used. Maybe it's not even commonly available.

If you own Dom 4 you can probably just copy the font files, no?

Btw, I'm currently playing the game with a mixed playlist of Dom 4 and 5 soundtrack and loving it :)

Nothing against those who favor the Dom4 music, but it does comfort me how varied are the expectations for the new game. Some assume a lot less should carry over, some assume even the music should be the same. I presume the devs know they could not have hit all targets and are pleased with those they hit :) Again, this is nothing against keeping the Dom4 music; that is just what made me think of it this morning.

Nope. Apparently the two games handle fonts differently. There are no font files for Dom4
