Action keys
Is there any mod adding action keys (like in TM 2020)?
I am keyboard player and i have very big issue with losing grip on even smallest turn in any car/environment expect base car/stadium environment.
I am pretty sure any analog controller would solve the problem but i prefer stick to my keyboard.

sad to see no response here i was wondering the same. the only environment where it would be acceptable in my opinion would be the rally environment since controller players already limit their steering to 50%. other than that i don't think the community would be too fond of an action key system here, and most cars are driveable with keyboard once you find your bearings around it. more difficult cars to control on kb would be rally, coast and island.

Island KB players would also benefit a lot from Actions keys but sadly Nadeo is not a company that cares about their players or giving support and updates to older games, they only care now about about TM2020 and really ignore their other games, Idk why a developer team would get such attitude towards their playerbase.

damn i also need this
Nope, sorry. Just get a gamepad/steering wheel. They're not that expensive and you'd want a cheap DirectInput controller, like one of those cheap $8 DualShock clones anyway, because the game tends to crash with any decent one (tried once play with my switch pro controller via Steam Input, got crashes galore when it was connected - worked with TM², but not with TMUF/TMNF).

I don't think there's such a mod and even if it is, it might be considering cheating by Nadeo.

There was some drama about custom action keys in TM2020 and after that Nadeo released statement saying it is considered cheating.
Moreover custom analog input curves are now also considered cheating.

So Yea i know this would be cheating but for me it feels like necessary evil to fully enjoy the game on KB. And to be honest cheating wouldn't be too big of a problem. This game already saves Your inputs with replays, there are tools to got those inputs out of the replay and from those inputs It should be pretty obvious if such a mod was used. So it wouldn't affect pro play.

But i am not about competing or anything I'am struggling with even getting gold medals on keyboard (when not in stadium environment) but when i try it on joystick it is like super easy.
But I simply prefer playing on keyboard what is almost pointless on those environments.
You can steady keep 50% steering without loosing grip with for example steering wheel and You can steer sharper then KB player who taps 10 times per second.

And yes i do have gamepad and joystick but i don't enjoy them as much as simple KB. The whole point of playing TMUF for me is it's simplicity there are so many newer flashier racing games out there and if i were to sit down with steering wheel or other more precise input device I myself would switch to those games.

Hmm, I have 3 gamepads - cheep noname (Oxion OGPW03), I bought in 2019 just to check how is to play with gamapad and use it as "road gamepad", MSI Force GC30, I bought couple years ago and 5 y.o. Trust GXT 1230 Muta that waits till I repair it (just solder back 1 cable).
All of them are working fine with TMNF/TMUF, I just spend some time in settings

Switch Pro controller (and apparently PS4 controllers as well) crash the game if you as much as just connect them.
