Is it just me or is this a bad port?
I got this game off humble bundle the other day, and a number of things feel off about this port in comparison to the gamecube version.

Firstly, the controls. I"m using a wired Xbox 360 controller, and something about the controls doesn't feel quite right. It's hard to explain, but the controls feel both too sensitive and too unresponsive at the same time. It's a bit difficult to make precise movements with the control stick, such as when guiding Sonic through a corridor so that he'll keep his speed and not hit a wall. My memory could be wrong, but I remember SADX for the GameCube controlling better than this. The Sky Chase controls are also WAY too sensitive, so much so that I don't know if I'll be able to get all the emblems in this game.

I've also run into several glitches. I know that the GC version of SADX was infamous for its glitches, but I've encountered more glitches in the three days I've owned the PC version than I did in the several years I've played the GC version. Sonic would frequently lose his momentum when running along walls, he'd fall through the floor after running through a loop, and the camera is pretty terrible about giving me good angles.

Is there anything I could do to help alleviate these issues? Maybe there's some software for my controller that would improve my playing experience? And maybe some mods too?

Im using an AMD Radeon HD 5570. I manage to hit 60fps with 1080p and FXAA on, but whether it remains constant depends on the area I'm in or whether or not the game feels like it I guess.

I have to agree, I don't have any problem with this port.

It plays okay, just bad controls and camera can be annoying.

Sonic Lost World plays awesome. I can't understand the negative reviews...

Yeah, Better SADX will improve analog controls to be on the level of the GameCube version. As for Sky Deck, there is a fix in the works, but for now you have to play it in 640x480 to get accurate controls. The rest is probably just how DX always was.

I just emulate the 1998 version of the original Dreamcast game. I think the graphics are nicer in that one even though they're older, like Marathon 2 Durandal and Marathon Infinity Vs Quake 2.

It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea and it does have some bugs of its own, but I think they might just be emulation bugs; I've never owned a real Dreamcast console so I can't be sure.

The worst of those is when characters get stuck and "breakdance" on certain polygons and you have to shift your way off them as jumping doesn't work. It's like the Illegal Slope bug in Tomb Raider 1-5 if you slide down a slope into a wall or another steep slope.

I have at least two screenshots of one level at differenct angles.
