Does this happen in the latest build still?
The vending machines are more convenient at the cost of higher prices.
We like to give as many options as we can, there are people out there who want to enjoy the game but still suffer PTSD from lost limbs or something, that's just an example.
If you're talking about third person hitboxes, we'll work on those in the near future.
Known bug, we'll get it fixed.
I believe that was fixed in the latest build. If it wasn't, please let me know which areas suffer from this, it would be very helpful.
Its all about balancing, we don't want to make the game easier than it already is. Normal bystanders can still be killed with one shot to the head.
That's a good suggestion.
Not all locations will get people inside, but we do want to add more pedestrians to a bunch of them, its an ongoing process.
Another good suggestion, but that would work better as a proper dropkick animation which i'm not sure we'll ever do for multiple reasons.
I... haven't tested if the items you pick up are gone this time (when changing zap/load zones), but I recall that not being the case yeah. At least, it was very noticable for things like crutchy dolls and such, money idk.
One weird/oddity was that this was also true for the paintings you would sell to Art Lover, despite them being invisible. (might need to test that again I guess)
Just saying that there was a way to legitly get endless money and it wasn't too hard, except it requiring time.
The ATMs were one of the few things that were permanently drained when kicked, but--
what I do found odd about those was that, if you had drained them, you could still anger nearby NPCs when kicking the thing (after changing load zones).
• Money balance is already kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥. I had to start a new game on Thursday twice due to the EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION bug that didn't allow me to continue my playthrough, it was sad because all the progress for previous 3 days was lost, but no matter. After starting new game I managed to collect around 2k dollars, almost all powerups and weapons without breaking a sweat. Oh and btw I didn't know where to find most of it precisely, I was just exploring open world.
• Yes indeed, bug with items respawning is still presented in the game
• Vending machines are more convenient when it comes to buying items, but vending machines are everywhere, and Civvie is located in a specific place. If I'm passing him by, I'm already going out of my way to buy crack pipes. Rewarding players for playing smart would be great.
• Regarding melee weapons. I meant that it feels like machete and shovel in the current update have smaller range and very weird hit detection. On top of that, throwed machete can literally pass through NPCs or cut a random body part, despite me clearly throwing it at head, stomach or legs.
• Regarding max wanted level. Idk, it feels like almost everywhere but very first location. I was deliveratly getting out of my way to get chased by the police, and after killing a couple cops everyone just stop spawning, even with population set to "Overpopulated".
• Regarding difficulty. I feel like even when playing on Hard game is kinda easy. I know you'll make something like "Impossible" difficulty for masochists like me in the future, but for now it feels like cakewalk. You are overwhelmed with healing items, great weapons and clunky AI.
The narrative of the game is the Postal Dude being pushed around and confused daily over the whereabouts of his trailer. It's teeth clenching levels of unpleasant.
In Paradise Lost where this formula was adopted, most bosses actually provided something in transaction to help Dude in his quest. And then, Dude felt the need of "thanking" them after you got what you needed. In P4, the payback is literally another boss that is bossing Dude to kill the previous bosses. Why did Dude turn into a complete pushover?
Some machines make you win on first try.
Some on the third try. It seems after a win falls, you'll likely win again within 8 tries. (if you didn't you can diffidently raise the amount of money you put in since the next one of the one there after will get your win).
The super natural being that holds the dude's trailer hostage for his own reasons probably wouldn't leave it out in the open.
These are questions trying to figure why the narrative is so out of harmony with the gameplay. The trailer car is stolen, the main character wants it, this is a plot device for you to go through the game that is meant to be open world. It could very well exist to give you a reason for you to explore and then create errands from there. But it doesn't exist for the whole experience, it's not even modeled in. It's the laziest form of Macguffin I've ever seen.
The day bosses give you annoying, complicated tasks for no good reason and then disappear from the map. They're not likeable, they don't help Dude at all, it's a game about going on a rampage, why can't you shoot them from the get go? Was this just to unreasonably extend the game?
This sucks.
The money system was pretty much as useless as in Postal 4, you could pickup money from so much locations but at the end you either spend them for buiyng health pipes or kevlar wich you found lots of them in the game world.
turning off dismemered was an option in the postal 2 steam version too and i think why not its a difference between showing dark jokes and gore.
Agree with the melee hitboxes, feels as terrible as in postal 3 PLUS headbobbing on top.
many of the complains feels more like suggestions, but i agree with the pointlessness of money ingame even since postal 2 and i agree with the terrible melee handling.
While you're taking suggestions, a fist weapon would be great. Postal being about going about your daily life and wanting to go on a rampage because of dumbasses, it'd feel very cathartic to be able to start things out with a good deck to the face.
Yeah I feel super bored killing people with M60 while being buffed with Akimbo and Catnip powerups along edenSYNTH radio station on, lemme just have generic ragdolls when I kill people in a Postal game.
Do you realize that is an admission that POSTAL 4 is INTENTIONALLY watered down to avoid butt hurt and/or scandal?
Better put in options to remove the trampolines next...
Number of trampoline injuries in USA from POSTAL to 2021: >2.5 million
Number of people suffering from limb loss in the USA: <=2 million
By giving options, more people can enjoy the game as they can customize their own experience, pretty much the same way we provide a variety of HUD designs.
