Problem with this in the current state though is it'd be impossible to do it stealthily otherwise. The people in this game have eagle vision. Often able to notice a burglar through a tiny spec of a gap. Not to mention they also immediately call the police if they find a single lock opened - including the front gate.
thats sounds good and realistic. Does game have proper 3d sound positioning to use to hear footsteps and other sounds AI makes to avoid detection? It was big part of original thief and splinter cell and good positional sound was even better than mini map, if you are not deaf.
You talk about how this game is "supposed to be a simulator, thus be realist".
I'd like to remind you :
- Goat Simulator
- Bread Simulator
All these games who have "simulator" in the name and who intend to do anything but something realist.
I wasn't aware that the developers of thief simulator, were in fact targetting the spoof simulator market, but thought they were honestly attempting to capture the experience of being a thief.
and stop bothering
Those are non serious simulators, jokes, we are talking here about serious simulators! Serious simulators are all about realism and mimicing reality as close as possible on every level.
There is absolutely no information about hardcore mode on store page, and all promo materials has DUMBcore mode shown which has super intrusive UI and all kinds of outlines around everything, which puts any hardcore stealth and simulation player of buying this game and which looks like totally unrealistic crap. Even despite hardcore mode was mentioned here few times i dont want to buy cat in bag and want to see clear difference on store page.
Also, what about other sorts of outlines, like ugly green outline around loot or reg outline around some other items - does this crap also disabled in hardcore mode?? What about rest of untrusive immersion breaking unrealistic UI elements? Are they disabled in hardcore mode too? Also how well this mode works? Does game has realistic compensation for lack of these unrealist YOBA (youth oriented brainless approved) features, like proper 3d sounds which tells exact location by footsteps and other sounds, or some button in corner that appers near interactive objects instead of outline, or does it have some keyhole peeking or gadgets like otpic cable you can put under the door to see whats behind door before you enter it and before you meet with NPC that you did not saw through walls miles ahead?
Or hardcore mode was added as afterthough and just breakes features without compensating them and game was designed around dumbcore mode? Like you know, in many recent games like hitman Absolution, where disabling of instinct mode basically broke whole disguise system? Or like in Splinter Cell Blacklist where disabling mark and execute broke the game on so many leves where situations was designed for its usage, or where non lethal mode was added at late stage as simple skin for lethal mode and basically there was no gameplay difference and NPC reacted on non killed characters like it was killed?
Is this same kind of hardcore mode?
I just started to watch video with hardcore mode and right at 30 seconds video shows your claims are not true - char sits in car and wheel part getting highlighted with ugly unrealistic blue outline - and you call it hardcore mode?
Omg t also has RPG like skill system with locked abilities? This is not realistic att all, it artificially slowed progression that also breaks immersions. Do you remember any skill unlocks in original Thief or Splinter cell or Hitman? There was gadgets you can unlock or buy in virtual store once you progress in story, but thats it, no RPG like grinding :-( Game is unrealistic at its core design :-( Its not a pure simulator, sadly and not even pure stealth game (((
its not about HARD its about REALISM, Realism does not always mean hard, but it always means immersion and believablility. This game should not have all of this unrealistic crap.
