Single character only?
Is this playable as one character all the way through? I hate RPG where you end up with a party faffing around with them all. I want a single character only.

It should definitely be doable, it might just be a little harder sometimes, also depending on what class you choose (solo rogue or mage for example would be much more difficult than solo fighter, at least in the beginning). But in the official campaign you can only have one companion at max, and they are somewhat hard to control, so not that much help anyway, apart from being a distraction. Sometimes you might even have to babysit them, so not having to drag them along could also be a relief. The companions each do have their own quest though, so you might miss out on that and the according xp, if you go solo. On the other hand, you don't need to split your xp with them either.

You could also play a spellcaster and summon a familiar and another creature to help you in combat, but I guess you'd like to avoid that as well?

Can the DLCs be solo'd as well? Darkness Over Daggerford and all the rest?

I solo'd all the campaign on hard as fighter/weaponmaster/bard, Even did the OC solo as pure sorcerer (cant remember if i had summons or not) definitly possible, I would say the start is kinda pain in the ass especially as caster

Ch 1 OC Get to lv 6 them hire a henchmen, get the quest, give them the item, let them go. Hire the next one. XP is 100 CH 1, 200 CH 2, 300 CH 3. That per henchman

I assume you can, but the game flatout tells you that the difficulty assumes you'll be hiring a henchman.

But it is still very doable to solo even on hardcore and bad AI turns every spellcasting henchman basicly into cannonfodder ;)

I've always solo the campaigns. You lose XP for every henchmen or companion you have (at least in the OC).

Of course game will be harder but that's the fun part. Being a rogue, using traps, sneak attacks is fun. Or playing an elf mage. Ghost visage, long sword and flaming weapon... Game was super easy.

The AI companions in this game, of which you only really ever have one at a time, don't require babysitting, especially if you download TonyK's AI mod. This isn't like Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter Nights 2, where you control a whole party. This game is solo by design and doesn't even support a full party like in BG, Icewind Dale, and others.

I want to do all achievements (without see guide all moment) but I have a doubt.

You recommend play 2 times the game with diferent players? I explain:

The first time with a normal difficulty to enjoy all the game (without think in the achievements).

The second time with a Hardcore player to do all achievements in order (and with guide).

After of this, would be the better change to the first normal char to gain levels and prestige?

You can solo it all the way through. It is recommended to get a party member however, especially since there is no full party control in the game, i.e. you can't fully control the party members on the same level as your player characte.r

nwn is really easy so you can gun through it even solo.

Contrary to you I like party RPG with DnD system much more, and I found NWN henchmen are super useless. I mean, they still can do some stuff, like buff or open locks\disable traps, but either in build or gear terms they are nothing compared to main character. Plus you can hire only single at once, plus in original game without mods they used to stuck constantly.

So yeah, I played game only solo with a single main character and that was totally doable. With some classes you may experience some difficulties tho, like wizard or sorc got terrible start without any meatshields.

Yes you can solo. I had to kill Morag by myself because my henchman got himself killed before we finish the first fight before Morag.
