I'm playing a Lawful Neutral character, and don't make a habit of wandering into civilian homes, unless emergencies say otherwise.
Bremen
• Rescue Lara's Son from the Yeti assault
• Failed the skill check to request Fire Arrows
• Rescue Dorulgruf Shalescar from the Abominable yeti
• Met with Speaker Gil and the rest of the refugees at the dock, recruiting Kinnuki
Targos
• Gave Lara 50 gold for saving my life, so she and her son can afford food/shelter within Targos, getting my ring back
• Met Aerin Gend at Luskan Arms
• Directed to speak with Speaker Kemp by Captain Haldor
• At Aerin's direction, meet up with Sharwyn, and help Silvenius Crim with the Summoning
• Petyr Nobanion has asked me to soothe the raging souls of the Legendary Creature quartet: thus-far Legendary Crag Cat slain.
• Retrieve Baeldryn's stolen shipment from the Bandits, which she in turn gave to Graendel
• After having made a name for myself, the council of Targos has tasked me with rescuing Wulfgar - last seen heading to Termalaine
Maer Dualdon Lakeshore
• Slay the Hag Dorotee Leachlung and take her head
• Slay the Ice Troll Chieftain, recovering his Battle Plans. This, along with Dorotee's note confirm that the Ten Towns are being conspired against
Fallen Crags
• Slay the bandits preying on travelers, for previously mentioned Baeldryn quest
Dragon's Dip
• Peacefully recruit Blizzard to the cause, whomst agrees to meet Arveiaturace again, either in a months time, or at her den at the peak
Bryn Shandor
• Retrieve 3 payments for Nym (-3000g, +Amulet, +Bard)
- Turned away at the gate, even though I have hard evidence that the Ten Towns are going to be besieged... guess that's not important enough
Termalaine
• Meet with the Eastside Innkeeper, who says that Wulfgar was headed to the Ice Spire
• Clear out Slabhead, and the rest of the Verbeegs around town, gaining more evidence for the blue-skinned shaman's machinations
• Slay Gertrude Wormtongue within the Ice Spire, taking her head
• Locate Wulfgar, who is later rescued with the Ice to Flesh scroll from Silvenius Crim (5,000g)
• Met the R.W.oT. Marcus Flass in the gem mine, and killed Grimbold Tornhelm and Co. for him. Furthermore, recruited Marcus' Golems for 10,000gp to support Targos, should it come to war (Gee, I wonder if that will be relevant later.)
It's at this point that I free Wulfgar, who gives a name to the blue-skinned shaman; "Iceblood." Wulfgar asks me to accompany him to Bremen's Run immediately, to help him and his people avoid the same fate of Termalaine. I do so, rescuing Berkthgar and co. from an assault force. They declare they need to head to dwarven valley/Kelvin's Cairn, home of Gimla and her people, and I am to join them later. ODDITY: As I am clearing this map of fog-of-war, it once again becomes over-taken by monstrous soldiers, and all remaining Elk Tribesmen are slain. I then clear it again, before departing.
Lonelywood
• Ask around town about the Masked Lady, and find that her victims are buried in the local graveyard, and that I should snoop it out
• Regis informs me that the town is troubled with restless dreams, and suspects it may be related to the Witch of the Wood
• Investigating the graveyard reveals a solid stone sarcophagus that has been blown open from the inside with intense arcane magic, and I need to ask the Gravekeeper about this
• Old Tom, the Gravekeeper, tells me that he swears he saw someone he already buried head to the Whistling Gallows inn. Spooked, Tom then leaves.
• Captain Kettia Freeborn informs me that she's recently made port here, and she's been getting horrible rest, and it's all been since she bought some ointment from the Witch of the Wood
! Hi, Imoen. 25th level huh? Neat.
• Ask Kiera Nye over at the Whistling Gallows what's going on, and she turns over the key to the dirt-caked mage's room. Investigating this reveals a Manshoon-Clone has turned up, and he's surly as hell. Killing him yields a spellbook for Blizzard.
• Investigating the lead on the Witch of the Wood, I'm able to get an audience with her, by claiming to need more ointment for Kettria. She reveals herself to be Agaza the Dreamweaver, a Night Hag, and has been messing with Lonelywood, but that she will cut the crap if I bring her an encroaching hag-coven's heads. She'll also restore my memory to boot; I agree - I've already done 2/3rds of that job already anyway.
Deep Rift
• After clearing a number of spiders, I eventually find Cylia Coldbreath, slay her and take her head
• I also find and lay-low the Legendary Crag Cat
Lonelywood2
• With all three heads in-tow, I hand them to Agaza, and she takes me to her ritual cellar. There, she plans to sell me out to Gorgomorz, Devil of Daggerford, before departing the scene. Subduing Gorgomorz, he yields, and would be absolutely livid if he gets sent straight back to hell after just coming back -- so he offers his allegiance to Targos if a war should break out, in exchange for mercy. I accept (Gee, wonder if that will be relevant later.)
• Upstairs, Agaza diplomatically attempts to cover her ass by unlocking my memory. I accept. I find out that the Masked Woman is probably a celestial, or proto-divinity, and doesn't -want- to be disrupting others, but if she doesn't, an even greater catastrophe will befall all of creation. >Insert Thanos< "Sorry, little one." Oh, and Manshoon was there too. Agaza then says she's gonna peace-out, but offers to sell some nefarious implements before she does. I leave her to it.
• Upon leaving, Iceblood finally makes an appearance, and is pissed that I've been snooping into his plans, and Villain Monologues that he's going to bring back Arctus, the forgotten son of winter -- before dramatically teleporting in an assault squadron all over Lonelywood. Dealing with this, and speaking to Regis prompts him to declare a state-of-emergency, and that he's going to evacuate everyone left alive to Targos, as soon as the ships can be made ready.
Targos2
• Report to Speaker Kemp that I've rescued Wulfgar, while willingly grateful, he won't just take my word for it, and needs to see Wulfgar brought to Targos if I'm to be credited.
• Report to Speaker Kemp that I've rescued Lonelywood from Agaza
• Report to Speaker Kemp Iceblood is planning to return Arctus, who once again asks me to bring Wulfgar.
I can't proceed, what've I overlooked?
Passing through her lair will put you on the Western side of the valley (♥♥♥♥ if I know how that works.) The LCC will be somewhere on this ledge (Hard to say where, it aggros from quite a ways away, and might walk around up here, while you're dealing with spiders down below.)
Bonus Discovery:
The Giants Walls
Ancient Netherese Ruins
Jaluth Alaerth has an altar back behind her phylactery chamber, in which are the +3 Messenger of Sseth, +3 Bastard Sword of Heroism, and +3 Sword of Days. You may take one.
If you would like to take more than one, however, or even all 3, simply walk away from the altar a few feet, and pause the game. Your Main Character will need to have ample bag space. Save the game!! From here, queue in -several- instances of interacting with the altar, probably between 9-14 and unpause. When your character walks over to the altar, they will begin open-close cycling the altar -- as this is happening, you need to right-click when the altar is open on an item you want to take, and queue it to be added to your backpack (bottom option on the radial). If you want more than one, or all three, you need to queue their collections into your bag as well. From there, just leave the game unpaused, and wait with the altar cycling to conclude itself. When it reaches the final queue, your character will swipe all three of the items at once, rather than just one, before you get dumped at the entrance.
Very much enjoyed you narrating your journey, by the way. :)
My initial guess is that my exploration of the village (Clear the middle, then slightly west, then slightly east, before returning south to the exit passage), and then clearing edge-first clockwise, may've triggered some 'encounter' flags.
I personally didn't think it was a bug, but I've played enough NWN to know how these spawner flags tend to just... yeet things into existence out of nowhere. Something I think might be a bug though, is that Blizzard never bothers to memorize 6th level spells.
