(It has happened to me that I've run into a problem with friends not being able to properly log in and we had to find out why, but in the end it was not due to NWN itself but their strict firewall blocking the game - and others. So I think that was more of an exception and the average user shouldn't have any trouble.)
If it really works that way then that's great. At first I was worried that I'll have to do some processes in order to make my game visible in the browser. Thank you

It has the advantage that the server/session you host will be running independently of your own log-in in-game. That means if your game crashes or you lose connection or have to leave the game for any other reason, the server will continue running and your friend will not automatically get kicked out, too, so you can just reconnect as a player instead of restarting the whole server. (Of course, if your whole internet connection stops working, that would kill the server, too). In any case, even if you create the server outside of the game with nwserver.exe, it will be visible in the server list in-game.
