the only "update" is the UI scaling that is useless having only 2 value (one normal that is too small for modern resolutions, and one that is autistically HUGE)
I don't know a lot about these things, but if what I read here is true, I think you'd probably be better off sticking with NWN Diamond for now. Just uninstall Galaxy and play your GOG games without the client, problem solved. ;P
The EE is good if you want to play the DLCs, join upgraded PWs, hope for new modules created with the EE (because all of these wouldn't be compatible with NWN Diamond anymore). But just for playing old SP modules and campaigns, at this point, I think I wouldn't really recommend it yet.
The one thing that the EE has going for it is continued support and constantly being worked on, for better or worse. But it has a certain Early Access vibe, most of the potentially exciting things about it are still a promise, yet to come somewhen "soon".
IMO if you just want to play some old modules or the Bioware campaigns, stick with Diamond Edition for now.
"go talk about this in a forum no one use, not on steam where people can read before give us their money!"
Stick to sjw propaganda, you do that way better than game development.
I hope if one day they release nwn 2 Enhanced Edition, they will keep story, characters, and everything else original as in nwn 1 EE, and NOT like what they did in Baldur's Gate EE
what i was hoping to hear is that they've fixed bugs in the game. i'm still hitting them this playthrough in NWN:HOTU
Yea who ever head of talking about a game on the forums of its current developer that's just ludicrous.
Keep your personal attacks to yourself, you don't do that too well.
There forums are as low effort as this "Enhanced" Edition..
They even have the balls to charge money for DLC that's not 100th as good the free stiff out there. They are like Todd Howard without the budget.
Reading doesn't require a large budget. And a large swath of the people that frequent steam are completely clueless and lack basic reading comprehension skills. And I'm perfectly content leaving you and them that way.
Regardless of how many people wish for it, Beamdog has no plans for NWN2 EE. They explicitly said so. Some people at Beamdog were involved in the creation of NWN, which is why they were interested in an NWN EE and qualified for it, but they don't have any such connection with NWN2 nor the rights to it. You could just as well expect them to release Drakensang EE or something. ;P
which is a shame, NWN 2 had some sorely needed visual update and serious potential but the toolset was a pain and mod support for it never grew into what NWN had.
Good for us, as I don' t think anyone want a NWN2 EE where Khelgar quest gonna be about changing his gender and pronouns instead of changing his class...
Did they actually do something as distasteful as this in NWN:EE? I always boycott developers who take this route so I'd like to know so I won't spend more money on them.
I'm also still waiting for the visual upgrade they promised us, this game didn't age well at all when it comes to that.

Scott said she wanted to address elements in the original Baldur's Gate that she considered sexist, including its depictions of Safana as a "sex object" and Jaheira as a "nagging wife" played for comedy. She had previously commented: "I get to make decisions about who I write about and why. I don't like writing about straight/white/cis people all the time. It's not reflective of the real world, it sets up s/w/c as the 'normal' baseline from which 'other' characters must be added, and it's boring."
