Servers seem dead.

Looks like a similar issue to what happened two months ago ... front end servers are reachable, but the API requests return zero active servers. Last time around BD had to reboot something.

Pretty surprised there's no failsafe (ie: someone who gets a call to go restart the servers if they crash) for something like this

You don't even know the issue. Not everything can have a "fail-safe". To give you an example - we had a database server back in the pre-cloud days which had a pretty robust replication system between several shards to ensure data availability. It was all cool and dandy.. until a drunkard drove his crane into a wall and cut the fibers between the two shards and there was a power outage in the DC that hosted the third. When it rains - it pours.

I mean if one of the developers posts not once, but twice, that it won't be addressed until office hours I feel like there's no fail-safe and the issue hasn't been addressed, regardless of what the issue is. Just saying I'm surprised there's not someone on call that gets a notification to go see what the problem is when it happens instead of them only knowing there's an issue with the (primary) service the company provides when the playerbase tells them :D

True, but do check the forum for recent occurrences ... and this is basically an absolutely required service for any multiplayer server (not technically absolutely necessary, but in practice it is). This would be designed as an always-on service.
Imagine EA play being down for 8 hours. If there were loot-boxes to sell in NWN, this would probably have five nines availability.
