No idea what you'e talking about.
No issues here, running latest Pop OS with nvidia drivers.
Linux version works great, feel more responsive tbh compared to windows.
If you want to do some troubleshooting you can open steam (and your game from terminal) so you will at least get some type of error message that can be looked up if the game doesnt start or crashes:

Thanks. I agree, so far I ve never had problems with it on other systems. GOG version which is pretty much identical runs just fine. But I like to experminent with different distro s and on this particular system it s not working right.
Maybe it is something to do with my steam install that got borked, I don t know.
Here s the output when I run it in the terminal:
Your pc hardware would have to be literally garbage tier if you are experiencing this.
Fingers crossed
I'm talking about comparing the game on the same hardware ( a lenovo gaming notebook from 6 years ago or so) maxed out on windows 10 vs Pop OS (also ubuntu based).
Compared between OS , the linux version is more responsive and smoother.
My main rig has a 7800X3D 64Gb DDR5 and a 7900 XTX btw :p
While I dont have a solution for you, sorry, I can report that it still works fine on both PopOS (based on Ubuntu), and on Steam Deck (based on ArchLinux). Ran on both in the last 1-2 days.
When it comes to Linux its probably something specific that youll have to track down. You could also just try running it without Steam by running it in your /NWNEE install Directory/bin.
It might give you more helpful and direct messages than trying to run the game through Steam would. Steam isnt needed to play only to install after that you can run the game without steam.
