Sticking everything in C:\Users must be some kind of Windows certification thing because I don't think it's anything but aggravating to users. The only benefit I could think is you wouldn't lose your saves and configs if you deleted the game directory, but that's of no benefit given that if you care about your saves and configs they're now much harder to find compared to if they were in the game directory by default, and if you lose your OS drive for any reason, they're all lost at once.
It's partly a tech migration issue since nowadays big SSDs are cheap and I could just go get one.. but the danger of my OS install becoming broken when moving it, and just the bother of the whole thing, has put me off of it for now.
