About Rogue builds
I was wondering, is it really worth to dip into fighter(or any other full BAB class) to get the 4th attack per round? Or is it better to just go full rogue plus additional prestige classes?

I mean, for 4 levels of fighter out of 20 you get 1 more BAB and 1 attack at -15, but this locks you into human unless you don't mind the multiclass exp penalty.

So, how do you guys prefer to build rogues when you play?

The value is in flurry grouping. Attacks per round (6 seconds) are divided into 3 flurries that happen every 2 seconds. If you have 3 APR you have an attack in each flurry. With 4 APR you get 2 attacks in the first flurry and 1 in the 2nd and 3rd flurry. If you're attacking from stealth, e.g. using Hide in Plain Sight from Shadowdancer, you only get sneak attacks for your first flurry of attacks, making getting more attacks in that flurry a good idea.

If you're dual wielding you'll end up with 6 APR, so 2 attacks in each flurry, but Haste wil push you to 7 APR giving you 3 attacks in that first flurry.

Halfling has Rogue as a favored class. Human and Half-Elf use their highest class as a favored class. You could also use Champion of Torm, instead of Fighter. As a prestige class it doesn't count towards XP penalties. Another option would be to use Assassin with Fighter. Assassin is also a prestige class, so it doesn't contribute to XP penalties, but you do get fewer skillpoints per level than Rogue.

Hello, yes 4 level of fighter is good for weapon specialization. You can also choose halfelin since he has rogue as preferred class.

I know it's not optimum, but I prefer to play old school dex-based single class Rogue, for roleplay value. A rogue should expect a tough life.

Depends on the module, though. I've finished the OC, SoU and HotU that way, but, for example, I don't think ADWR is possible without something similar to the multiclass build recommended by Valine.

While i like halfling, his low strength coupled with small stature limit his damage a lot unless you happen to be in an high magic module/pw showering you with strong weapons. This makes fighting sneak immunes a real chore.

Lower hit points, lower BAB, tons of sneak immunes... yeah, definitely a tough life.
I still find it fun so i'll end up trying to use it in some easier modules.
