NWN EE won't launch
So I'm playing on Windows 10 x64 Home. I've already disabled all antivirus related things, re-downloaded the game, verified it too. Uninstalled and then installed vc redist, OpenAl too.

When I launch the game, Steam shows that it's running. I can also see processes in Task Manager.

I'm using intel core i5-12400, gtx 1660 super. I have the latest drivers for those.

I genuinely have no clue what's wrong.

During spring 2022 I was able to play the game normally. Half a month ago I've reinstalled Windows since i've upgraded my hardware.

My usual suggestion is to make sure your Neverwinter Nights folder is in your My Documents and not in a OneDrive My Documents. And if it is correctly in your My Documents, try temporarily removing the entire NWN folder and run the game again to allow it to make another.
@Ninja, thanks for reply. Problem is, there is no NWN folder made when I launch the game. I've disabled OneDrive syncing and made a documents folder at C/ Users/ XXX/ Documents but it still doesn't launch.

It's most likely due to installation location rather than anything with your hardware or the game itself. As Ninja mentioned, I'd double-chech that the game is actually installed on the physical drive, preferably the same as your OS (though mine is on a secondary drive and it's working fine).

Is there a NWN folder in your OneDrive My Documents then? That's probably a good thing to check to make sure if the game is actually making the folder and it's just being redirected or if it's not even making a folder at all.
@Slapstick yes, the game is on my actual drive. Steam as well.
@Ninja, nope, NWN didnt create a folder there too.
@Julius I disabled onedrive, did a clean uninstall, installed again and it didn't ♥♥♥♥♥♥ itself. Regeditor stuff doesn't tell me much. This is how my regedit looks like for HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders https://imgur.com/a/e1YKLEa

I've also made a search for Neverwinter Nights hoping to find that there might be a folder lying around somewhere with .ini files and somesuch but there is only one and this one is just a steam folder.

If the folder is not created, it's blocked by your AV. I know you mentioned you disabled the AV stuff, but I guess something is still blocking it. Maybe add NWN:EE to your AV's exception list.
@Julius I did. This is how my AV exceptions look like https://imgur.com/QqlEeKb

Added main, server and toolset .exe files.

Can you try uninstalling the game from the C disk and installing it on another disk, e.g. D? Check all Documents folders on your drives, e.g. on C and D and make sure you also deleted all possible Neverwinter Nights folders there (this was the case for https://forum.neverwintervault.org/t/yet-another-ee-bug/5386/10 ).
Have only one drive, I've even uninstalled my optical drive and tried to launch the game again. I've searched my only disk, which is C but there's only one folder and it's a steam installation one. I've also searched for nwn.ini file but there is none. Will try and reisntall the game again.
https://imgur.com/Gek30Lu There's also some weirdass 'internet shortcut' that can't be opened or found in the actual folder.

I think someone had a similar problem and it was because their username had a non-ASCII character... or something like that. Does your Windows username have a unique character/letter?
Nope. Its also in english.

Hm.. I'm not sure if this would even be part of the problem but try checking if your NWN is not on an old beta build maybe? If you right click the game in your library and click Properties and then Beta. Make sure you're not opted in to anything. Or maybe see if you have old NWN Workshop files on Steam, and unsubscribe to them if you do have some.
Not using beta and I've unsubbed from workshop content. Redownloaded the game with AV disabled the whole time and it still won't launch. I've tried launching directly thru folder but it's just a process in my task manager that eats my PC resources.
