Blackstone Keep Issues

What is going on ?

I have been getting the worst lag I have seen in any NWN server since the original came out.
I regularly get disconnected and cd key still in use and by the time I get back, I am already dead.

Now, I used the gates to go to BSK and the loading didn't come up, it froze on screen and CTD wih Fatal Error. I loaded up, went to join again and it won't load up at all, just keep CTD with fatal error every time.

Between this, lag, my characters dying to lag, dying to disconnects and losing everything that I have earned going way back to the start of Blackstone Keep, because for once the other day, I finally decided to trust the storage transfer chest. I have had so many issues over the years on multiple servers with losing my gear, that I stopped using them, but the one time I finally suck it up and give it a try, all gone.

All my old servers are dead or gone now. BSK is the only one left, but it is in such a state atm, it is barely playable. I get frustrated with it all and inform the dm, but he never responds, just buffs you thinking that it will make everyone forget. He appeared to me a few days ago and asked if I wanted a buff. I told him no, that buffs is not going to make up for all the issues I have been having. I know I have been ranting at him a lot and he's probably sick of me, but this is it. If this server stays in the condition it's in, I will have to say tyvm and goodbye, because all my last hopes ride on this server now.

Going to keep trying.

Heroes and champions arent even dm spawned...they spawn based on a luck rating...i get them frequently on a couple of my characters. Again if you want to get in contact with dms the discord is the easiest way.

Of course they can. I am used to them doing it on purpose when it used to be fun. That was when they used to res us if something went wrong.
Running spiders for around 2 hours without an issues, only one regular boss spawned.
Then bang, bang, 2 spawn just like that. I only got the ab on 1. They may both have been 65. Wasn't sticking around to find out.

Used to have them spawning boss after boss on blacksone road, 4 - 5 at a time before they fell out with my dad.

(I said in game when they did it last night, just before I posted, that I have taken a screenshot and will be posting it. That everytime they do it now, I will screenshot to show them up for the power trippping bullies that they are)

Hopefully, posting the second proving I was not lying, might make him/her./them behave now.

Thanks for the screenshot, it confirms what I suspected.

The Hero/Champion spawns are randomly created by the spawning script. There is no DM following you around tormenting you. There isn't even a way for a DM to spawn those.

Again, the best place to talk about this would be on BSK discord channel that was previously mentioned as this discussion is not really adding anything of value to this forum.

Strange thing is, I didn't lose connection first. Just tried relogging to get my wings to show on my subrace and couldn't reconnect.

If you try direct connecting to the server use blackstonekeep.com
Beamdog seems to be having issues

Speaking of this mod, I tried it last night. I couldn't even get past level 1. Have no idea what I am doing wrong. I am very familiar with this game and the rule set.
I got the quest to go to the kobold cave and can't make it past the first group. I am playing a fighter.
Anyone have any beginner tips for me?

Haha. I understand. The server is more set up for partying up. Tho it is doable as a solo with the right builds and gear. Did you happen to get whatever you could at the playful maiden also foxmores has a elemental stone that spawns a earth elemental i think its lvl 1 required. Check out the server forum blackstonekeep.com there maybe helpful tips there.

I will check out the elemental stone. Sounds handy, although I might not be able to afford it. Think I might have spent most my money already.
