simplest way to add extra feats on character creation
i know that i can boost stats to the max through console, but what if i only want to start with few extra feats (even if it means bypassing prerequisites)?

i guess, what i'm really asking for is how to modify race/class.

1. Cheating
2. Some classes like monk give you feats even if you usually won't be able to get them because of reqs.

you mean, there's some kind of exploit?

You can add feats using the character editor LETO.
It works fine for the Enhanced Edition as well.

Standard version:
https://neverwintervault.org/project/nwn1/other/leto-169

PRC (Player Resource Consortium) version:
https://neverwintervault.org/project/nwn1/other/leto-prc-version

Only use the later version if you actually use PRC.

Yes, you can even change race with Leto.

If you do that, though, it doesn't change feats etc automatically. So, if you change "human" to "elf", you still have "Quick to Master" but no elf properties.

You can tweak everything so that it becomes a canonical character for the new race, or not, as you prefer.

X levels of Monk flat out gives you certain feats even if you don't meet the requirements, Stunning Fist is the best example since you get it very early, but the requirements to get it elsewhere are as follows:
13 Dex
13 Wis
Improved Unarmed Strike
BAB 8
As a monk, you'd get it at an early level without needing a Base Attack Bonus of 8.
Ranger is the same way with, say, 2 weapon fighting feats. Not needing that 19 Dex helps a lot with builds if you want it.

yes, i've seen it mentioned in other forums... but some people say that it's outdated and might cause issues with ee. so how much truth in that?

also, some say that cep (community expansion pack) can replace leto, yet all it does it adds loads and loads of extra visuals. am i missing something about cep?
Tesseract Jul 29, 2022 @ 5:16am
CEP is a collection of assets that can be used in modules; it's in no way a replacement for Leto.
BinTech Jul 30, 2022 @ 12:16am
What Tesseract said is true. CEP is purely a content add-on.

Some functionality can be worked into a module by scripting, like CCOHEE. LETO however, is still a unique and invaluable tool.

It's true that LETO is outdated, but it still works fine, even with the latest EE version.

Leto 1.69 works for EE, too.

As with most programs, a few people have had issues. The Leto page on the Vault has a link to solutions:

thanks all!

I'm likely to get yelled at for this, but you can also edit the racialtypes.2da ExtraFeatsAtFirstLevel, AbilityPointsBuyNumber, etc. to tweak character creation more to your liking.

leto works fine. at least with feats. somehow if i try to edit stats with it, it either adds or removes 2 from any number i enter. but no matter, as i was only interested in feats, leto seems sufficient.

game simply won't launch if i change at least 1 number in these files, so that's not simplest way for sure.

I'm very green when it comes to any real modding, but I should have clarified that you'd want to back up your original file, then copy the edited 2da file into your Neverwinter Nights/override folder.
