I wouldn't call it "easy" seeing that correctly exporting your changes in Leto is a rather complicated, not exactly intuitive process and that even if you know what you're doing and follow the instructions correctly, it doesn't seem to work on all computer setups anymore. Still a valid suggestion. Maybe the OP has more luck with Leto than me and some other players. ;)
Granted, editing a saved game involves following the instructions.
Some people clearly have had issues, which are documented in the comments.
Oh, good point about this distinction. You're right, I tried to edit a save mid-game, while OP sounds like the goal is modifying a freshly created character. I stand corrected! :)
