Toolset started encountering fatal error
So, I downloaded the Toolset and happily engineering my campaign - as you do - but something caused a crash a few hours in (I think trying to place a Feature on top of another by accident?).

Since then, doing any major action that changes the map, be it Features, Groups or Terrain, causes an "External exception EEFFACE", and, in the example of trying to place a new "Stone" terrain tile in a fresh Castle Interior tileset area, an "Access violation at address 0A11C4C2 in module 'nvoglv32.DLL', Read of address 00000000.".

I tried reinstalling the toolset and then the entire game after wiping my hard drive clean of anything NWN. Nothing worked.

I would appreciate some insight.

Looks like another case of https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/67727/toolset-crashes-upon-area-load. The Toolset needs some work. Please, report your crash on support.baldursgate.com and in that forum thread.

Could you provide some information to me about where data about the Toolset is stored? I completely wipe the steamapps and documents folder before reinstalling, but the Toolset still does function like it did when I first started up. There must be a third location where the corrupted data is stored, correct?

I have now confirmed with an installation on my side computer that said machine has absolutely no problem running the toolset. So there must be a bunch of files on my main PC that messes up the Toolset. So there is something I am overlooking for that blank reset.

The file throwing the error is the Nvidia implementaion of OpenGL. It's a video driver error causing this in some way/other.

Our developers suggest to update drivers if not done already, and use "Clean Installation" when doing so.

We also have to know specifics (card model, system specs and so on).

In the most recent patch, the issue seems to have been fixed after around half an hour of testing around. I'll let you know if anything else comes up, but it is excellent to see you guys work so hard!
