So, I'd say get NWN2 if you're looking for a good single player game, and NWN:EE if you care about multiplayer.
Skip it and get EE.
With NWN2, you can always download Kaedrin's Class Pack. It adds/fixes a good number of classes.
In my opinion, this is worth a purchase though.

For everything they seemed to improve from NwN, they did at least one thing worse. Maybe if Beamdog got ahold of the rights and did a substatial overhaul it would be up to par, but at this stage...
Stick with NwN:EE - yeah, there is a lot to complain about, there's a lot of room for improvement, but even vanilla NwN is better than NwN2.
