Or use your old cd keys if you have it.

How much is the GOG version right now?

Comes with cd keys...

Make double sure they can be used on NWNEE though.

An option could be to buy from beamdog.com and then use the Steam key.
A version from beamdog.com gives a CD Key, and a Steam version gives another CD Key.

Wait a sec if Steam gives everyone the same CD key how does that work? Doesn't each copy of the Steam game have its own CD key? Must not. I created another Steam account and bought another copy of NWNEE for that account on my second PC. But when I try to log onto a server with both of PC's it rejects one saying the CD key is already in use!! So if I have two machines at home an I want to play with a family member on the same server I can't?? If everyone has the same CD Key doesn't that also cause a problem? An buying a copy from Beandog is $40!!

Not sure about buying 2 copies from Steam situation - although each copy of the game should provide different CD Keys - I meant having a copy from beamdog.com and a copy from Steam.

A copy from Beamdog costs exactly the same, not 40$ (it's Digital Deluxe aka NWN:EE+DLCs) but 20$.

I bought a second Steam copy for my other PC and it came with the same CD Key numbers as the first copy. I created a seperate Steam account too. So is this a Steam problem? I should get the second copy with a different CD key, souldn't I?

Ummm nice but I don't have a second/alternate CD key. An it appears to be used when you have 2 games on one PC. I have 2 PC's each with a Steam NWN but both have the same CD key.

Do you have a direct link to Steam Customer Support? I don't have one! There customer support is really bad! Tell them some one bought two copies of NWN EE, one for each Steam account they have on sperate PC's and got the same CD Key for each game!! This sounds like a Steam problem to me! Two separate PC's, two different accounts and I got the same CD for both games!

I am now downloading the Beamdog game ... hopefull I won't have the same problem.

I only have one copy so I have no idea what's happening to those with that issue... To those people, good luck, and I assume that beamdog will do thier best to resolve it.

I do see that the NWNEE version contains only one key, while previous versions still use 3. So it seems they may not be compatible...

Trying to figure out what steam is doing here. Are they using computer specs to assign a key? I am not sure if anyone has actually bought the extra copy using the second pc or not. Doesn't seem they are using any sort of account info as people have bought it using two accounts.

Maybe just a glitch in the key assignment. Wierd... Have fun with this one Beamdog :)

This.
We purchased two copies on Steam, two separate Steam accounts, two separate computers, but same WiFi, but it generated the same CD key for both. I'd like to play the game with my wife, and both of my kids want to buy the game and play as well, but it's currently not likely. Any help? All I need is a new CD key?

Oh dear, there are 3 of us here who would want to play together, but if keys are assigned based on the net connection used then it's a big problem.

I hope Beamdog have a solution to this soon.

Have fun :)

@jbclaussen and @Shia Luck Do you all use the same user name on all PCs?

What you have to do is make a second user directory, that will contain the new CD key. You'll need a copy of nwn.ini, nwnplayer.ini and the second cdkey.ini in that folder. The shortcuts in nwn.ini have to pint to this folder.

So keys are assigned based on the windows user account that you are logging in with? So while I do have an account on my friends' computers in the same name as mine, they would be installing under their own account and so we would need do nothing? Thank you so much for the quick response. :)

Have fun :)
