Where was cd key for the original?

I just dug out my 3 copies of NWN stuff and it seems I have lost the original CD key. Was it in the manual?

The key for for Hordes of the Underdark is written in the place where I put the disk. So I still have that key.

The key for Shadows of Undrentide is written in the manual and that I still have too.


However I don´t have the original manual, must have gotten lost. Was the key written on the manual for the original NWN copy?

Look under the discs inside the box, when you pull the cd's off it should be there.

Sorry to hear that bud. I also have a boxed copy of the "Deluxe" edition - that one has the keys under the disks (instead of the back of the manual like the original game), so it looks like they altered that at some point during the release of the expansions and moved it from the manuals to the box.

Been searching online to see if I could buy a key, the original is hard to find. Diamond edition is everywhere, they are not expensive though.

You may as well just get it on gog - or get the Enhanced Edition instead.

Yeah, but the point was to have all original stuff with their respective keys .... :)

If I am going to play it I will wait for the Steam edition, it will depend heavily on pricing though.

Well you can still get the original edition on gog - the Diamod Edition with all the expansions and stuff.

I FOUND IT!!!!! ..... now my apartment looks like a freaking mess, I knew it just couldn´t be gone.

The key was endid on the manual.

Steam doesn´t seem to accept google picture links, unfortunately.

This may sound stupid, but is there anything we can do with the original's key?

I mean, it's not you could activate it on Steam or anything. I just assume that beside the Enhanced Edition the only valid way to get NwN these days is GoG Diamond Edition... right?

In my search for the original key without it being diamond I found nothing, so yes ... to my knowledge you can only get the key for the diamond edition.

As for Steam, I dont think they will add a discount bonus connected to the key .... that would be great but I doubt it. So it cant be used for anything on Steam ... unfortunately.

if you have the game installed anywhere you can get the cd key from the file the game is installed at "nwcdkey" is the name of the txt file

I think I was in the same boat as you once upon a time but i just used a code I found online...

I mean the server is down ..who's gonna check for that? (can't even update the game normally anymore)
