look at the workshop? you mey be shocked that itd be the most populer mod

On the Steam Workshop there's colorized icon mods by CaGUI and Amethyst Dragon. Either one is fine and they're probably the main useful GUI mod. It differentiates the icons on your bar and radial menu so that they're much more recognizable, and also adds unique icons for each emote.

As far as game graphics, the above linked HD Pack with community fixes is the best. It automatically upgrades the appearance of all character faces and their gear.

Yes there are a number of good ones. All of the Beamdog stuff and some small shields and staves that were released recently. In terms of tile sets, alot of work has gone into overhauling these as well over the years. These are all independent projects however and no guarantees they will work well with each other. Is there one consolidated package that covers everything? Not that i know of.

alright i tried some and the character looks better now, but i realized something ... i suck at this game lol is there any good guides for starters out there?

There might be, its a very old game with very old style dnd rules. So as a new player you are better off playing something pure like a Dwarf Warrior or something while you get a feel for things. There are other, much more powerful things you can do. But those require knowledge and experimention unless you are just gonna copy an already powerful build (nothign wrong with that)
