If this does not automatically find your NWN installation, use the big Open button to navigate to the Neverwinter Nights folder and open the .key file. If you purchased from Steam that will be in steam\steamapps\common.
The 2da files are listed in one block under Game Data. Select that heading then r-click to export them all.
The HD Art Pack is a different matter. When you install it, it puts a few 2da files in Neverwinter Nights\ovr. These are text files which you can simply copy. The changes are shown here[forum.neverwintervault.org]
I have not seen an explanation of what these changes are for, so I guess they fix glitches in the base game which only occur when HD Art Pack is installed.
There are some bugs currently in the HD Art Pack, when used with the official game. On top of that, the HD Art Pack may never be compatible with community modules that use custom artwork.
You only need to do this once per release.
All I'm getting are res0..2da, res1..2da etc... So for E.G: Placeables2da it's the one called res501..2da. So it's really difficult to get the one I'm looking for without having their actual names.
I did manage to find the portraits and placeables 2da that way and renamed them accordingly to work, but anything else is quite a challenge to get.
Does anyone know when I can find the latest base and raw 2da files for NWN EE somewhere?
That is the definitive source of the latest 2da files.
This method will continue to work for future releases.
The lazy way is to grab files that someone else has extracted using the same method, but, as you can see from this example[neverwintervault.org], they quickly become out-of-date. The game is on 88.8193.36-13 now. It might be that changes since 8193.34 are nil or minimal - I can't remember - but you can't rely on that.
I didn't find the .key file at first reading your post a while back above, I just didn't do a deep search for it, but after your reply I searched by file type and found it. Anyhow it works, so thanks a bunch!
