ive played this game for so long ive compared nwn servers to stars in the galaxy. some of them burn brighter and shorter than others while others burn not so bright but last a long time. the point being though is its always been a challenge to know what exactly an active server is since some servers vanish... then also return later. or some get turned off to be worked on, like mine do, then turn them back on.

Grandia Shinma has been a long-term project inspired by old RPGs like Breath of Fire, Chrono Trigger, and the Mana series ect. The setting is placed in a world where people are shunned for using magic, the art of manipulating Etherium, for many fear its power due to some whom embraced its darker purposes. Many of the races have bad-blood between each other since the Great War; while others removed their clans far from civilization.

This Persistent-World(PW) offers both PvP and PvE. In PvP players must engage in a dice rolled battle via a roller-system on the server, and roleplaying their actions. Unlike most servers, magic can cause unique abilities for each character. Players submit powers in a public forum, creating their own thread. These powers are created within our guidelines. They are checked over by staff for approval - sometimes commenting publicly, usually to offer an idea if you're openly brainstorming. Should it be approved, you'll get an item or piece of gear outlining what your power does as it was finalized, as soon as it can be added. Unapproved powers usually just need some tinkering or editing, with suggestions from the staff. Players may also attempt to have their character create a spell or technique through the same approval process. PvE is simpler, point and click on creatures that give exp and maybe some loot.

Help is wanted; though the areas in the module are basically complete, there's still quite a bit of work to get done.

-Scripters; to help add custom classes, races, and quest flairs.
-Storytellers; people willing to help clean up lore on the forums, to discuss ideas and offer feedback (feel free to share personal ideas, too!).
I've tinkered with this over the years with friends - it's something we've all enjoyed and spent countless hours working on together. A lot of PnP-adventure nights between us all through this. I'm sure others will enjoy this too.
