Beamdog has also answered this question officially already, saying that there are no plans for a remaster on their part.
"All this corporate acquisition makes my brain hurt."
Civvie 11
A small part of games being made but in some cases cause their own death. Money exchanging hands. Too many hands in the pot tends to breed no movement anywhere when no one can agree. Companies are going to have their own self-interests in mind. Sad truth.
GoG[www.gog.com] is the only store front you can find NWN2. It exists on Steam too you just cant buy it.
Your only other option is buying an unused steam key from someone. They're rare and probably not cheap at this point. They weren't when I last looked. Apparently not too many unused keys out there.
I too would love more improvements to both games. Partially because the editions beyond this don't seem to have as much freedom in character development. At least not from the games being made with those editions. 5th seems a bit better but is still perceived by me as limiting in some areas. Getting a bit off topic now.
Would love walkmesh and toolset improvements in case of NWN2. Nwn2 is a bit more open in some areas that 1 is not very open even now. The rules also change tho DnD 3rd Edition vs DnD 3.5.
So i just keep this on the selves collecting dusts. Beside there alot of other roleplaying games going on out there. I did miss the good ol days back then when playing this, just cant crawl back in there again.
