whips in original campaign and shadows of undrentide

are there any (especially interested in SOU) or will they first appear only in hordes of underdark? i remember this game to be super ez even back in the day so using whips seems a good handicap if i'm gonna play it again. also if someone has ideas/links to some other weak, but original/fun to play build, i'm all ears.

thx for your reply but it pretty much only seems to make whip a bit stronger bcs of dual wield (which i don't want, i actually want to keep it as crappy as possible). says nothing about placing it into SoU (assuming it isn't already included into the 1. expansion), or am i missing something?

No whips in the base game and first expansion without mods. Vanilla, they don't show up until the HoTU. Lore-wise, it makes sense that way because the drow are a major enemy in that expansion, and their clerics almost exclusively use whips. No other enemy in the game uses whips, just drow clerics.
