Tensers Transformation (didn't attack a single time)
So I am currently on Chapter 2 and I had the unfortunate luck of saving and quicksaving when entering the chamber with Desther. As it appears I wasn't prepared for the fight and I got killed. Now clearing the 2 rooms before my henchman & familiar dies and im out of spells and potions? No big deal right I just teleport with the stone and buy... oh wait the stone won't work in this room and I can't go back because a magical barrier prevents me from exeting the room

I had Tensers Transformation scroll and thought might as well try it out it sounds awesome. I used it and I couldn't even attack. There was only Desther & a Summoned Skeleton Chieftain and this useless spell didn't attack. I checked to not have any debuffs or any of the sorts and no I didn't have anything. Why did this useless spell didn't work ? I couldn't attack a single time

Tensers Transformation transform YOU into a beast with super duper magic sword. Use it on yourself. Read the description of a spell to learn more:

"Description: The caster becomes an engine of destruction, gaining a +1 attack bonus for every 2 caster levels, a +4 natural armor AC bonus, 20 strength, 22 dexterity, 18 constitution, +5 to their fortitude saving throws, and +1d6 additional hit points per caster level."

Autosave as far as I remember saves in the room prior.

did you try attacking with spells while under tensers? yeah that room is a ♥♥♥♥ room of the campaign. not sure why they put those restrictions on without warning.

but ONLY for that room. which is hard to rest in, because its small and filled with enemies.

To prepare for that room you can buy potions from the vendor in the keep basement. potions of heal for 2-3000 gold.

so I'd allow you to cheat in however many potions you can afford for 3000.

its much easier if you stock up. and wouldnt be difficult if they JUST ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WARNED YOU THEY WERE CHANGING THE RULES.

but its an old game and we all know by now.

I used it on myself and couldn't attack. You didn't explain why. All you did is read out what the spell says which is not much help

Did I not describe this clearly enough in my OP? I am just curious. The question is very simple (Why can't I attack while under the effect of Tensers Transformation?). People seem to be answering ANYTHING other than the main question. This is so surreal I am not sure if this is plain stupidity or of people are just trolling? Can you PLEASE answer the question:

Why can't I attack while under the effect of Tensers Transformation?

It's difficult to diagnose what the problem could be. Usually to attack you just click on hostile things. That's all there should be to it. If you aren't attacking a couple possibilities come to mind:
1. You simply aren't waiting long enough for your attacks to start. When you initiate combat the game actually rolls a initiative check and the combatant with the higher roll gets to start attacking first. If you cast tenser's transformation that takes up your entire 6 second round of actions even though it only takes 1.5 seconds to complete you still have to wait the remaining 4.5 seconds after that before the next round starts and then based on initiative you may wait 1-2 seconds more.
2. There's something else in your action queue that your character is doing instead. I'm not sure what that might be but try clicking on all the icons in the top left that AREN'T the sword icon to remove them from your action queue.
3. You aren't successfully clicking on the enemy. This seems unlikely since you've gotten this far in the game but if you've been playing a wizard it's conceivable that this is the first enemy you've had to engage in melee combat.

I just tried something. I used Tensers Transformation in Neverwinter in chapter 1. I tried to use it and attacka friendly NPC and I still can't perform an attack, I am fairly certain I did it correctly as my Wizard will actually use the crossbow when im not under the effect of the spell. I tried it against a bandit and I still can't attack. Also there is 1 more thing, when I use the spell I get some kind of an item in my inventory, it looks like a skin and takes up 4 slots.

No, you did not explained clear enough. Also, you havent told us how "lack of attacks" looks like: were a character not moving at all? Have you seen any communicates? Like "unable to reach target"? Have you been to room or stacked in a door? Your first post was written as you tried to use scroll on enemy. The spell itself is not useless and you should have been able to proceed as expected. How long the combat was?

The skin item is okay. When you are transformed you cannot use your normal inventory. Also, weapon you are using before transformation does not affect fight.

At no point in my OP did I say that I wrote that I tried to use the scroll on the enemy. Now you are just blatantly trolling.

Spell did not attack? This spell does not attack at all! This is why I thought you tried to use this spell like magic missle or fireball.

Learn to read. "I had Tensers Transformation scroll and thought might as well try it out it sounds awesome. I used it and I couldn't even attack"

Does your mental capacity not allow you to understand a simple concept as I USED IT=>NOW I CAN'T ATTACK. Its not rocket science! I obviously used it on myself, unlike you I can read and understand the information that is written in the spell. Are you that dumb that you can't understand basic things as this?
Mastur Ch33f Dec 9, 2020 @ 5:55am
Don't bother answering, the question was rhetorical. It seems a common theme that people with Anime profiles of little girls have some mental disability which prevents them from understanding basic stuff.

The skin item is definitely a problem. It means part of the transformation script isn't working properly. The skin is a creature item that normally gives creatures and shapes various properties without taking up a "proper" item slot. They aren't for player use at all. When you use the spell do you end up looking like this?
