If you are playing Sorcerer, why is your Charisma so low? I play Sorcerer 🧙♂️ often and kick some serious butt
Is that low for a starting character? Attribute points above 16 are expensive during character creation ... Then again, a sorcerer doesn't need that much in the other attributes, so I guess for that class it's affordable.
YES Charisma is the Sorcerer's main spell casting ability . A charisma of 16 limits spell casting to 6 lv. spells. My Sorcerer will always be more powerful than his because mine has MAX Charisma.
Sure, but it won't stay at 16. When they reach the point where they require a higher CHA for lvl 7+ spells, they will have gained it by the additional attribute points you get on leveling. And then there are items that give CHA bonus. Sure, your sorcerer would be more powerful in direct comparison, but unless you play PvP, I don't think it matters all that much. A sorcerer who starts with 16 should get by fine in PvE. 16 is a high value already, for the start. But then again, like I said, other attributes are not that important for the sorcerer, so I guess there's no harm in putting as much in CHA as you can.
1. Why sorc has Weapon Finesse? Feat that should not exist on sorc in general?
2. Why low level sorc has Magic Missile instead of Burning Hands?
3. Why sorc has Sleep (!) instead of something generally more useful, like Mage's Amor?
4. Where is your Panther (which more useful at low levels)?
5. Where is your Summon (which is useful at low levels)?
6. Where is your Henchman (who is useful for low level pure caster in general)?
as for other two I'm new to tabletop genre and they looked to be the most powerful
If you wanted to play sorc/rogue... It would be better to starts as Bard, who is basically sorc/rogue hybrid of sorts.
Sleep even by discription looks very BAD spell. Magic Missile looks good, at caster level 9+.
Items that give CHA bonus works for me also. Yes I use then as needed. The OP must be low level (lv 1 or 2) because Magic Missile is 1D4+1, after level 1 you get 1 more every 2 levels. Max 5 Magic Missile at level 9. at level 3 he should do a min of 4 hit points of damage max of 10.
