Halfling weapon master

Currently running a multiplayer game and since we already have a cleric, wanted to try out a halfling fighter/weaponmaster with bastard sword or katana. I was looking at https://steamcommunity.com/groups/NWN-Players/discussions/1/494632506575102278/ and wondering if this would work? Or would I have to change more than just exotic weapon mastery and scimitar stuff?

Honestly, just stick with the scimitar because of its larger threat range. Halfling will make reaching 25 strength for devastating critical much more painful. You will probably need to give up on your epic damage reduction dreams. You DO however get to use a scimitar in TWO hands, which has the added benefit of multiplying your STR bonus to damage by 1.5, something medium sized races cannot do with any 18-20 crit range weapon.

I made one that uses a katana before, was lots of fun. just grab imp exxpertise and go for crits to do dmg while u use tumble and the expertise to boost your armor

Is scimitar that big of a difference? Aesthetically I prefer the exotic bastardsword/katana but if it makes a huge difference I'll consider it! Still haven't made my character so I'm still open to changes.

its about being able to use imp expertise and cranking your AC to max and with the katana weapons master u get the larger critical range as a halfling a katana is wielded with two hands

with the Ki blasts, theres not much that can survive you 1v1 after a round
