Console and mobile version have a better UI scaling no ? Thanks.
Also, mouse functionality seems different. Panning left/right by moving the mouse those directions is disabled. Was this intentional or a glitch?
Lastly, gear shows up in hand, but not in my inventory. Looks like when CEP first came out, & the newer graphics weren't compatible, so gear was "invisible."
Any help rectifying this would be appreciated. Thanks!
Seems like it is stable now.
I tried clearing all modules and mods I had downloaded. Went through each single mod and removed files from the Steam Workshop directory and also the NWN:EE Documents folder.
Basically I went back to vanilla. The game still crashed.
Then I uninstalled the game completely and then added my mods and modules again.
Now the game works fine. Even UI scaling seems to work for whatever reason. I had really given up on it, but damn it is nice to have it working.
I then restored my saves from before the uninstall and tried a few. No crashes so far.
Makes me wonder what caused it.
I guess it could be as you say, a mod that was no longer working past a game patch. Maybe the mod itself was updated too, but since Steam insists on putting mods in its own directory as opposed to installing them in Documents, I had probably not received the update, even if it was downloaded.
Anyway, I'm happy that it works again. And thank you Julius for a quick reply.
I've kind of lost interest in single player modules though. I can never decide which class to play solo because they're all lacking something important, and I can't stand the henchmen running into enemies and traps. I just miss controlling a proper D&D party. I hope we can still get that one day after the renderer.
Looks like some of the patch notes may be hinting about necessary engine changes for future graphics.
I'm looking forward to the enhances graphics, but the anticipation will no longer hold be back from playing this game. I have had a great time in persistent world and premium modules lately!
I am very frustrated about this, especially since the enhanced edition's toolset has more features than the old one which I'd like to use.
