As a side note, I'm not sure how Steam manages the keys with NWN: EE, but in the original NWN Diamond Edition disc and also the GOG versions of the game, your CD keys were in a file called "nwn.ini" which you could right-click and open with Notepad to see the keys.
In the old version there were up to 3 separate CD keys, one for the base game and one for each expansion, and they were all stored in nwncdkey.ini (I still have my 1.69 installation).
Just purchased NWN:EE + infinite dungeons + portail pack for me and my buddy.
Im on linux with no anti virus running.
I have looked for any *.ini in my $HOME and searched for "key" strings in all files in all NWN folders.
Nothing.
EDIT:
This threads looks promising for linux users:

Fixed. cdkey.ini got generated with build 8186.
Easiest workaround is to right click the game entry, select properties, and switch the forced proton compatibility mode to Proton 4.11. Run the game after it's finished thinking, and then copy the cdkey.ini it generates upon selecting multiplayer to your Linux NWNEE user folder. If you can't find your cdkey.ini that Proton generates, try looking in the compatdata directory of your Steam install.
Not sure what, but something for some reason prevents me from writing data to the folder on OSX. Had to manually enter PlayerName into the nwn.ini as well.
Interestingly enough, I forced the game to crush by pressing Esc while the prompt was shown. Through the re-opening prompt I finally received the access request, which I granted. Didn't solve the issue though.
This was based on the instructions described here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/704450/discussions/0/1750142311550193489/, which bOHeLi kindly pointed to above.
