Multiplayer Servers

Just wondering if there is a lot of RP servers still. I recall most of the servers were usually very hard but a lot of fun cause you weren't hand fed stuff.

I ended up buying it. I have noticed all the server are in one list now, and are not broken up into RP, PVP, etc...

There's a couple big servers that are still role play, but they're super cliquey and the moderators are hard asses. We need some fresh stuff.

Agreed, most of the time you end up with no help on them and ppl who think they are in a novel.

Take a look at the Thay PW. It's a RP server that is very hard. Most people can't handle it and quit within a few hours. It's been a model of mediocrity since 2008. Check it out, you may be disappointed - https://steamcommunity.com/groups/thaypw

I started playing on the City of Rings server a few days ago and it's super cool. 100% IC at all times, some good rules to keep the feel of indepth RP.

The community doesnt feel cliquish at all though. I walked through a bar today and some random group invited me to go with them "looking to explore ring 98" is what they said.

I'd give it a shot if you want a server.

There was a server I used to play a long time ago. I forgot the name, but it was RP, the theme was 2 main factions with basically full pvp between them (generally a bit of RP before fighting) and a 3rd much smaller neutral faction and was a "city" between them both main ones. Also there was lots of PvE stuff, genrally set for coop play though you could get to level 5 i think without leaving your factions walls.

Scylon, when I was in middle school my 2 older brothers used to play on a server that matches that description. Did you ever happen to find the name of that server?

Dang, that one looked really cool. It's a shame I was too young to understand the game to try out that server at the time. I just remember my brother had a dwarf cleric friend named, Olrec, or something like that, and then they farmed fire beetle guts all the time in the beginning. It seemed like it had a lot to it.

Looks like Beamdog killed all the adult servers so I guess it's just the autistic roleplay servers left. :(

A not-insignificant portion of community creators decided to go back to dedicated server listings on the old Neverwinter Nights Diamond framework or decided to privately list because of worries about "adult" content when they pushed the game to consoles. There are thankfully still some decent servers on the Enhanced Edition server browser, but the health of the community has seen a sharp decline. I share your frustrations regarding the player base and current state of role play servers.
