NWN Toolset: Enhanced Edition. Try the new updates and share your feedback
Hello, friends!

We’ve been substantially updating the Neverwinter Nights Toolset, and want you to test our newest build which adds tons of fixes, optimizations, & new features!

Grab the new Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition Toolset build at this link[forums.beamdog.com], test it out, and share your feedback!

We've uploaded an out-of-band update for the Toolset so that content creators could test it without having to wait for a patch (which will take a while with the work on the renderer and 64-bit integration).

Check out a small video illustrating new features: https://www.facebook.com/Beamdog/videos/2319128681662635/

Still waiting on that Linux port of the toolset. It's the only thing keeping me from uninstalling NWN:EE from Windows tbqh.

Hell, I'd even make due with a crappy wine wrapper for the toolset if it meant I didn't have to reboot to Windows to make module modifications.

Thanks for the update, it's really good to know you guys are also chipping away at the toolset's issues, these QoL improvements are appreciated! :)

@Star-X I'm not sure which version of wine you're using, the toolkit runs without issues on wine 3.15 so that might be an option for you. With that being said I'm really hoping Beamdog will eventually release a native version to make our lives a little easier.

Ah, so the new one DOES work on wine?

Cool, that's nice, considering I couldn't get the Windows EE toolkit to work with the Linux binaries and data.

I'll have to experiment with that later.

Very cool to see the little things that help make creating modules easier. Also glad you got some things fixed that were haunting you. Very excited to see what this toolset will be able to do when development ends!

Area tabs looks good, but have problem with fog render.
In first opened area fog is rendered, but in second not rendered.

Scaling for objects is awesome!

I'll also waiting for improved script editor.

Also I found quick fix for last NVIDIA driver problem.
Add nwntoolset in control panel of NVIDIA and disable "Threaded optimisation". Now toolset will be wroking fine :)

This is really nice stuff, scaling is a hoot to play with.

shaders are not loading when I launch the toolset. "Could not compile shaders fslit.shd" Note error line numbers are offset

0(20) : error C7529: does not allow # include directives
0(21) : error C0109: can't open include file "inc_keyhole"
0(44) : error C1503: undefined variable "Drawkeyhole"
is this a known issue???
Am I doing something wrong?

nwtoolset.exe / replaced the old one (and yes I saved the original )
toolset-changelog.md / where does this go? what is it?

any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

I have the same problem...

I've tried all kinds of updates and nothing, it doesn't work for me.

Woop! glad to see the back of the greyed out icon bug, that was the only thing really stopping me from using this version of the toolset.

Julius, what's the current stance on porting the toolset to linux?
