Mac Intel Fix?
Came back after a while to see if this had FINALLY been fixed. Reinstalled aaaaaaand same problem. Has this been officially or unofficially solved yet and I am missing something? Or is this STILL a problem, which makes the game I paid for UNPLAYABLE, which they have not fixed yet?

Considering I have never heard of a mac intel problem (though I have heard of intel mobile gpu problems, if thats what your refering to) then hard to say. If its the mobile gpu issue, they have made alot of improvements, but I dont think its completey solved. I don't game on things that cant fit a fullsized modern gpu in them though, so I have no first hand experience with it.

If your problem is not the mobile gpu issue, then again I have never heard of a mac intel issue, so care to elaborate?

Hi. Yeah when the game first released there was an issue targeted to Macs utilizing Intel. The game would crash on area transistions (any transition loading, room to room, large area to area, etc). Early on it was mentioned in patch notes whathaveyou as them working on it. I left for a few months and returned now to see if they had fixed it.

So the thing I can't seem to find out from looking at your post and doing a bit of googling is this. Is the issue only happening in the campaigns, or do you suffer this problem on PWs as well? I wonder if this is just another variation of the mobile gpu crash, as I am assuming you mac is one of their laptop variants?

PWs? I have only tried to play the main campaign.

Persistant worlds, try this, go to multiplayer, online game, create a character on blackstone keep really fast (it doesnt require any extra files to be installed unlike a lot of pws) and see if you can transition between zones there or not without a crash. This will let us know if its module specific or if it affects everything.

Just ran on Multiplayer. Still crashes.

Damn, I was hoping it was module specifc. Then at least you could get some use out of things. I am assuming you have made sure you have the latest drivers for both your gpu and your chipset?

Yes.

We've fixed the majority of Intel-related crashes. But there's still issues, and Intel themselves acknowledged the problem with their drivers in the official statement.

However, we're interested in seeing the rest of crashes fixed. You can help with that. Please provide detailed info about your system and circumstances when it is crashing for you at support.baldursgate.com
