Yeah OC gets boring in certain sections, but it also gives you a lot of room to learn. While I agree that hotu is the best expansioni, it is also the more difficult one.
Yes, I played OC then SOU then HOTU, and I think it's the best order of play. OC is quite easy and allows to lean, while HOTU, if I recall, had quite tough nasties ...

That's true, but only if you start over for SoU. Otherwise, you get to HotU overleveled, and therefore close to immortality (lol)
For official campaigns, Shadows first if you're familiar with the systems, otherwise do them in the order they were released. The original campaign is a great learning tool for first-timers, though the writing is a little dry at points, as most confirm.
