Is NWN:EE able to do Cross Platforms multiplayer?
Basically title: I didn't found anything on the FAQ telling me otherwise, and a lot of games now support that, sadly some devs *cough* Relic *cough* simply don't bother with it.

So I'm thinking of buy NWN:EE but I'd like to play with a friend. I'm on linux, he's on windows, are we screwed?

Yes, it supports Cross Platforms multiplayer.
Thanks a lot, I believe I'll just throw money at you right now.

BTW: how do the DLCs work when doing multiplayer? Is it needed for each, or the host having them is enough for all players in the game to have them?

Everyone should have the same content set.

The original game had cross platform multiplayer support, would be very weird if Beamdog didn't retain that. The only reason why it isn't in some games is because the developers write really bad network code. Incompetence.

For instance, not using the size specified types defined in stdint.h (long int has different size in linux compared to windows, as an example) and not making sure the network code is using network byte order to avoid endian problems (ARM has big endian while intel and amd has little, as an example).

It's not rocket science.
