Samurai Build ?
I'm interested in creating a proper Samurai build and any feedback from the community would be greatly appreciated !

Its been a while but from what I can remember and gather dual weilding is probably not the route to take since Katana being a medium sized weapon benefits from STR boosting?
Weapon Master seems like it would make the most sense so intelligence 13 min is required. I think Rogue and Fighter would compliment the WMM or even Monk, but im not sure how that build would play out myself. If its a str based Rogue/Fighter essentially using 1 handed katana should my dex remain only 13 for the WMM requirements ?

Dual wield is pretty crap since you only get improved two weapon fighting at best and no oversized two weapon fighting.

It can be okayish if you roll fighter/bard/rdd and you can start as human with 16/16/14/10/10/8 or elf 18/16/12/8/10/8
8str/2con/2int/2cha from rdd is massive boost.

alternatively you can try 16/16/12/10/14/8 elf and try to be dual wielding weaponmaster.

try this
two weapon defense as ambidex and improved unarmed as itwf
yeah youll need to use katana alone or with shield till 12 or push wm further down

yes, for this build
twd=ambidex(since it doesnt exist in nwn2)
improved unarmed=improved twf(since it requires more dex in nwn2)

op you can also ignore rogue completely and just dump 10 champions of torm at 20 for epic perks and saving throws
http://nwn2db.com/build/?286859
so you can get devastating criticals with this one and yeah this one will work better.

i wish we had prc, that one had samurai base class and greater and perfect twf feats
i guess somebody could also mod in naginata and nodachi

i think im sold on the Halfling single katana animations. Would i benefit to start as a rogue for skills? or should i start as Fighter go WM then possibly COT if needed? my stats are looking like 16 str/14dex/12con/14 int/8 wis/8 cha

i also took Luck of Heroes as a first feat.

You can bank some points and spend them later when you get rogue lvl.

Also theres mod on workshop which can change animations to few presets.

what if we started as fighter -> WM -> COT ? we would free up multiple feats and not lose AB from dual weilding the katana we could focus all on STR, Heavy Armor, Criticals, and Saving Throws?

two handed gets x1.5 str bonus to its dmg while dual wield gets x1 on mh and x0,5 on oh but since you get only improved twf with 2 offhand attacks, you lose dmg on 3rd and further attacks
Also attacks of opportunity are made only with main hand.

Basically dont dual wield unless you can sneak attack.

sorry to be undecided here lol but now am looking at this at a guideline

the thing is , i really love the halfling now and am trying to work the halfling and the katana without dual wield into this build. the one thing i don't understand in this build is why i have lore skill points though? in the end as far as i know it looks like i will end up with a similar build without epic damage reduction but with better saving throws?

As stated on Discord, they are 8 free "dump skill points" that can go anywhere you wish.
