I think the middle between the big and smalkl ui-scale will be fine. But much more better is an ui-scale with more steps lik ui 1.5x ,1,6x,1,7x ect. So every player find the optimal ui for his eyes.
And remember, many old games have big or custmiable ui. Operation Flashpoint/Arma-serie is a good example too.
I hope in future all devs will "learn" it to release games with a big enough ui in every resolution.
I second this. Just downloaded it now, immediately fixes half the problem, makes the game playable for me. Highly recommended.
Because it's impossible to push buttons precisely, they are always little shifted than they appear. The only way to play properly is to set scale to x2, but that's too much. Gods.. I love this game and I am forced to play it that uncomfortable way.
2 years later and nothing has happened to increase playability at high resolutions.
The displayed objects and the fonts of the UI are just too tiny and with a scaling of 2 everything is too huge. But thanks dear dev. I'm looking forward to the next smart saying. But maybe 2022.
See you then.
I cba finishing the main campaign (though mainly on account of how boring it is), and I can't bring myself to bother with any of the other campaigns, official or fanmade, regardless of their quality, if I can't easily read the text.
Even if it was simply made "bigger", it think fundamentally the game's design & UI is so stuck in the 4:3 age. Constantly having to crank your head over to the top left corner of the screen just to read doesn't feel good on the neck or efficient.
That said, having never tried the game in it's "Online" format, i probably can't give it the full appreciation.
