It doesn't remove the price, but I will mention that the actual mods - the actual games - can all be bought for $9, so it would cost you $29 vs the 40. Can also pick just the one or two you want for less. The deluxe includes a ten dollar sound track and an 'add on' that has a few portraits, which is absolutely bonkers to me.
But yeah, it would have been nice to have the other modules included since they didn't really require much. Still, at least you can use the old modules if you still have them from way back when, so that helps I think.
Well, gaming is a hobby. You'd think it was a government-sponsored welfare program by some accounts. While I do think it's a little much to pay for DLC, the simple thing is not to buy it if you're not in the market. Otherwise the @OP lost me at "Bathesda and Fallout 3" ...I guess they weren't suppose to make money either.
Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition includes the Neverwinter Nights base game, two expansions (Shadows of Undrentide and Hordes of the Underdark) and three premium modules (Kingmaker, ShadowGuard, and Witch’s Wake). This is the same content included in "Neverwinter Nights Diamond Edition".
As part of the Enhanced Edition, Premium Modules have been made to work again and three additional premium modules (Pirates of the Sword Coast, Infinite Dungeons, and Wyvern Crown of Cormyr) will be sold separately.
We include everything that was in the Diamond Edition, and then the premium modules that were previously available to purchase from BioWare are offered as a part of Digital Deluxe (Beamdog) and DLC (Steam).

- Will I retain ownership of the premium modules I purchased from BioWare?
- If you already have the premium modules (Wyvern Crown of Cormyr, Pirates of the Sword Coast, or Infinite Dungeons), they will function properly in Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition.
It's discussed in more detail in https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/67024/premium-modules-why-extra
yeah... no. as i said if you want to enhance an old game or remaster it or whatever buzz word you want to use thats all welll and good. but older games being rereleased should never have seperated DLC for any reason. even if you made it new. also if someone already owns the previous non remastered/enhanced/whatever version they shouldn't have to repurchase the game at all.. they already paid for it long ago and have the license for it
That said, if this isn't for you and all you were after was the original game, Vote with your wallet, there's nothing wrong with not wanting to pay for something. You're not obligated to buy everything that shows up on Steam.
