Neverwinter Nights gameplay question

In Chapter 1 there are 4 areas of interest: Beggars Nest (zombies), Peninsula (prison), the Docks, and Blacklake. Can anyone tell me what order you're supposed to search them in?

I always started with Prison district personally. But you can do them in any order.

As a Chaotic-Evil person, I find the begger's nest the first place to start.

Not because they deserve help ; But because them getting back to their downtrodden, filthy, miserable, hopeless lives fighting over bread crusts and drinking polluted water makes my character smile....

The order does not matter but mild spoiler:
the docks has mobs that drop a currency that nets you 3 or so magic items AND another mob type drops some arrows that sell for a very high price. Between the two you can gear up fastest by going there first.

there is a level but I don't know what it is... if you are too high level for docks, you get less coins, and if you are too low you get less, ... too high changes mob types and less drops while too low decreases mob counts. About level 4, maybe 5, is the sweet spot (?). You should get between 30 and 40 of the tokens. Even if you can't use the items you can sell them and come out pretty.

I recommend doing Blacklake last.

If you speak to Aribeth she will give you hints and point you to different districts in order of difficulty. But TBH it's OK to mess around and actually I recommend that. Reason is that NWN OC is pretty linear and messing around gives you more fun. Sure you may get killed easily, but you can always revive and go somewhere else.

The game adjusts the level somewhat based off your level. It really makes little difference except for the bosses, and which of those is hardest for you depends on your class somewhat.

Blacklake's final boss is a mage, beggar's nest's a cleric, dock's a rogue, and penisula is an enemy with mind powers
