Mouse pointer not visisble

Mouse mouse pointer is not visible when I start the game. This makes it difficult to load or start a new game.

I have already set "hardware mouse =0" and does not fix the issue.

I am running in Windows on a "non-touch" environment.

This game has worked in the past.

Try hitting "Alt+Enter". This takes NWN in and out of Windowed mode. It's a fast test.

This provides a mouse cursor, but it does not allow edge of window turning.

Some games running on Win 10 have a magnification issue when dealing with the mouse.
Can try 2 different things.

Compatabiltiy mode - Uncheck the box mentioning hi dpi settings.

**OR**

Set the screen magnification to 149% from the default 200%.

his issue might occur if the pointer trails for the cursor is enabled under Mouse pointer options.

Follow the methods listed below to troubleshoot the issue:

Method 1:

I would suggest you to disable it and check for the results. Follow the steps to do so:

Press Windows and X keys together and select Control Panel.
Click on Mouse.
Navigate to pointer options tab.
Under Visibility, uncheck the box which says “display pointer trails”.
Click on OK to close the window.
Check if you find the same issue. If yes, move to the next method.

Method 2:

Follow the steps below to change the display text size to 100 % and check if it resolves the issue:

Right Click on the desktop screen and select Personalize.
Click on Display.
Check the box that says “let me choose one scaling level for all my display”. Choose Smaller (100%)-default.
Click on Apply. Restart the game and check if the point becomes invisible again.

Not OP but I have tried all these things and none of them helped. Also, "Alt+Enter" does not switch the game to windowed mode; it stays as it is.
The only way I can exit the game is via the task manager because the mouse cannot select anything once it brings up the "Are you sure" screen.

This happens with me, too, but only if my OBS screen recorder is running, if that gives any clues as to what is happening with other cases. Stopping OBS, or whatever else may be watching the monitor, returns the usual oversized NWN cursor.

Note, this one helped me, turning off OBS allowed me to view the cursor....
