You're mixing Neverwinter MMORPG with Neverwinter Nights.
2 different games.
Now...the original Neverwinter also was a MMO just like the enhanced edition is. Whats the essential differences between the two games? I could check online (and will anyway) but if anybody has the minute to outline the differences for me in a few lines I d greatly appreciate it.
Neverwinter, the mmo, I don't know much about. I've never actually played it, mostly because I had played games by the same developer and knew about the pay to win aspects they usually used. They share a name only because they both used a DnD setting for the games.
The original NWN game (and the EE version) has a community-based free to play Multiplayer aspect (persistant worlds).

And don't forget the 2004 mobile game. :P
